椰子樹主題帆布袋小歷史
2013年，臺大開始醞釀並執行重點姊妹校策略合作計畫，並於該年年底由臺大舉辦為期兩天的「臺大-京大（日本京都大學）雙邊研討會」。當時為連結兩校的校樹形象，採用菱格將圖像重製，產生了兩校全新的校樹圖案，並製作成研討會專用的資料袋，受到與會者的熱烈迴響，校樹主題帆布袋也從此成為臺大各大國際會議的指定資料袋，並於2016年進行改版，將袋型尺寸及提把長度調整至更符合人性化使用，並將第一版的紅色提把改為綠色、黃色雙色提把。2018年三度改版，選用皮手提搭配跳色設計，無論是視覺美感或實用程度都再度提升。
The first model of the Palm Bag was born in 2013, with red straps. The bag was meant for holding conference materials of the 2013 NTU-Kyoto Symposium, and it was widely discussed among the crowd since the design did stand out from most of the conferences that they have attended. Therefore, since then, the Palm Bag has become one of the necessary items whenever there is an international event hosted by NTU. This bag has witnessed the progress of NTU’s international collaborative power. In 2016, Version 2 was born, with the slightly adjusted shape; it became more user-friendly, and the yellow and green 2-tone straps made the bag vibrant and popular. Now, in the year of 2018, the bag was again elevated to the next level by the contrasting color printing and a material change from cloth to leather on the straps.
